American actor and producer

Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on October 3, 1983 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American actress and singer and graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a major in cultural anthropology.

In 2002, she began her acting career by starring in the stage play "The Storm".

In 2005, she made her screen debut through the suspense drama "Iron Evidence Unsolved Case Season 2".

In 2006, her first film "The Call" was released.

In 2007, he starred in the youth suspense drama "Palm Springs Secret Season 1".

In 2009, he won the Grand Jury Award for Best Actor at the 13th African American Film Festival for his role in the drama "The Cursed Mississippi".

In 2012, the crime drama "New York Police Story" in which she starred was aired.

In 2014, he won the Breakthrough Actor of the Year Award at the 24th Gotham Independent Film Awards for his role in the comedy film "Dear White".
