The Third Session of the 11th Presidium of the China Film Association was held in Beijing. Attendees included Xie Li, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC); Chen Daoming, Chairman of the China Film Association; Deng Guanghui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Resident Vice Chairman of the China Film Association; and Vice Chairmen Yu Dong, Wang Jian'er, Wu Jing, Zhang Ji, Guo Fan, Huang Bo, Huang Xiaoming, Fu Ruoqing, and Huo Tingxiao. Also present as non-voting delegates were Yu Ning, Party Secretary, Chairman, and President of China Film Press Co., Ltd.; Liu Bing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Film Association; Song Zhiqin, Executive Deputy Director of the Film Art Center of CFLAC; and heads of various departments of the China Film Association and the Film Art Center of CFLAC. The meeting was chaired by Chen Daoming.  

In his speech, Xie Li fully affirmed the work of the China Film Association over the past year. Under the leadership and guidance of the Presidium and the Party Leadership Group, the Association has continuously explored new ideas, developed new platforms, achieved new breakthroughs, and delivered new results in ideological guidance, support for creative work, awards and festivals, theoretical criticism, education and training, volunteer services, professional ethics, international exchanges, and internal development. He expressed hope that the Association would continue to uphold integrity while pursuing innovation, stay closely connected to the pulse of the times, and make efforts in four areas: "continuing to thoroughly study and practice Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, strengthening the building of professional ethics in the film industry, enhancing international communication and promotion of Chinese films, and improving the working mechanisms of the Association" to open up new prospects, demonstrate new achievements, focus on "serving people in the industry," foster a sound environment, and make greater contributions to high-quality development of film work and the Association's undertakings.  

In his concluding remarks as the chair, Chen Daoming urged members of the Presidium to earnestly perform their duties, actively participate in and support the Association's work, solve problems with reform-oriented thinking, stimulate vitality through innovative measures, and translate the collective wisdom of the Presidium into concrete actions that guide filmmakers in advancing the development of the film industry. He also called on them to leverage their professional strengths, take initiative, deliver results in creating quality works and cultivating talent, and ensure that film creation resonates with the people and the times.  

At the meeting, Deng Guanghui conveyed the spirits of conferences including the National Conference of Publicity Directors, the National Conference of Film Bureau Directors, the 17th "Five-One Project" Awards Symposium for Spiritual Civilization Construction, and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th CFLAC National Committee. The meeting noted that the central government has shown careful concern for and provided strong guidance to the reform and development of the film industry, offering scientific directions and fundamental principles. Under the new circumstances, the China Film Association should unite and lead filmmakers in thoroughly implementing the Party's innovative theories in the new era and the guidelines for literature and art, implementing requirements for deepening cultural system reform, actively fostering a healthy and dynamic film ecosystem, increasing the supply of excellent films, boosting market prosperity, and striving to open up new prospects for film work.  

Deng Guanghui reported on the China Film Association's work summary for 2024 and key work plans for 2025. The Association will give full play to its "two advantages," continuously deepen understanding of the laws governing the film industry and the Association's work, focus on integrating achievement-making with talent cultivation and linking work on films with environment-building, and solidly advance 13 key tasks. These include refining and implementing the *Implementation Opinions of the China Film Association on Studying and Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Culture (2025-2027)*, organizing the 38th China Golden Rooster Awards and related festivals, improving member services and professional ethics, building platforms to support young talents such as the Golden Rooster Project Venture Capital, strengthening theoretical and critical platforms, and promoting international cultural exchanges. The goal is to unite and guide filmmakers in taking new steps toward advancing the prosperity and development of Chinese cinema.  

Liu Bing reported on the performance of duties by members of the Presidium and the Council of the China Film Association in 2024. The meeting reviewed and deliberated on documents including the *Detailed Rules for the Admission Criteria for Individual Members of the China Film Association*, *Measures for the Management of Member Affairs of the China Film Association*, *Charter of the China Golden Rooster Awards*, *Selection Rules for the China Golden Rooster Awards*, and other work items.  

The meeting also focused on current developments in the film industry, conducted in-depth discussions on key reform issues such as the role of people's organizations, the development of a echelon of screenwriting talent, and the exemplary role of awards, explored work measures, and built consensus and synergy to further promote high-quality development of film work and the Association's undertakings.
