Fan Zeng calls for "return to classics, return to nature". He follows the aesthetic rule of "poetry as soul, calligraphy as bone", greatly promoting Chinese painting and founding "Neo - Classicism". In 2011, he won the Chinese Arts Lifetime Achievement Award. During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, he got the "IOC President's Cup". His works include Words of a Great Man, Chinese Painting Research, Zhuangzi's Vision, Fan Zeng's Ink Notes, etc.
Social Activities
In 2003, upon learning of the SARS outbreak in Tianjin, he donated 500,000 RMB and inscribed "Defeating SARS is everyone's responsibility."
In 2005, Wang Jiping, Director of Beijing Local Tax Bureau, personally presented Fan Zeng with the *2004 Individual Income Tax Payment Voucher* at Rongbaozhai.
In 2008, after the 8.0-magnitude Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan, he donated 10 million RMB for disaster relief.
In 2009, as a tenured professor at Nankai University, he donated 3 million RMB to Sichuan's Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center to rescue Qiang ethnic group's heritage.
Rongbaozhai estimated that from 1980 to 2009, his donated calligraphy and paintings nationwide were worth 530 million RMB.
In 2010, at the *Love for Yushu, Boundless Love* charity event for the Yushu earthquake in Qinghai, he personally donated 10 million RMB.
